Install Webcam Capture
Download Webcam Capture for free from the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 or Windows 11.
Add a camera
Choose your webcam, give it a nickname, and pick resolution, frame rate and microphone. You can also rotate, flip and adjust brightness and contrast.
Choose how to monitor
Select motion detection or face detection, set the sensitivity and turn on email notifications, recording and photo capture.
Start monitoring
Webcam Capture records and saves photos when it detects activity, logs every event, and can upload media to your OneDrive automatically.

Which cameras does Webcam Capture support?
It works with webcams that Windows recognizes, including built-in laptop cameras and USB webcams. You can add several cameras and preview up to 4 of them at the same time.
Can Webcam Capture detect motion?
Yes. You can choose motion detection or face detection for each camera, adjust the sensitivity and highlight the detected area on the live preview.
What does Webcam Capture do when it detects motion?
It can record video, capture photos, send an email notification and play an audio alarm. Every event is written to the activity log.
Where are recordings saved?
Media and event logs are saved in a folder you choose in Application Settings. You can also enable automatic upload to your OneDrive.
Can Webcam Capture start automatically with Windows?
Yes. Turn on "Launch application at Windows startup" in Application Settings.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 version 16299.0 or later (Windows 11 is supported) and about 64 MB of disk space.
Should I use Webcam Capture or SecureView?
Use Webcam Capture for USB or built-in webcams connected to the PC. Use SecureView for network IP security cameras that support ONVIF or RTSP.
